Carlos Solis is a professional fine art Artist and Muralist. His background is in Graphic Design and Illustration, however, in the last twenty years has dedicated his time to be a fulltime fine art artist.
Carlos Solis style could be described as a traditional surrealist artist. His major influences are the old masters, such as, Dali, Tanguy, and Chirico.
He is also a Curator and founder of the Latin American Art group, Contrapunto. He and his group have shown in several galleries and Museums in Atlanta and other major cities in the USA. Such as, The Marietta Art Museum, Latino Art Museum in California, Gallery 72, Guichard Gallery in Chicago, Quinlan Center of the Arts and Robert Kent gallery.
In addition, he has curated shows with the focus to promote Latin American Artists by working in collaboration with corporations and organizations like, CoCa-Cola, UPS, and Bank of America.
His main goal is to stablish a market for Latin American Artists in Georgia and other cities with the objective to not only to present the quality of works of arts created by Latino Artists, but also to use this medium to break stereo types and at the same time build bridges through the arts.
